Dear Members,

The Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Frances Fitzgerald TD  outlined yesterday, December 5th, the changes being implemented to the universal free pre-school year, and the  Community Childcare Subvention (CCS) programme as well as the Childcare Employment & Training Support (CETS) scheme. The full report on these changes can be downloaded here

We would like to hear from members by email as to how these changes will affect your service, and what the repercussions for you as a childcare provider will be.

Please email kyliej@ncna.ie  with your response

Many thanks,

Kylie Johnson

Notice of Appreciation

National Children’s Nurseries Association (NCNA) will very shortly be merged with Irish Preschool Play Association (IPPA) and become Early Childhood Ireland.  Up to very recently all our accredited training had been delivered with Canavan & Byrne.  NCNA sincerely thanks Angela Canavan, Mary Byrne and the entire staff and tutors of Canavan & Byrne for the high quality and excellent delivery of training, support and mentoring to our participants on all training courses both classroom and online.  We also highly commend the professionalism and the responsiveness in successfully adapting course materials and delivery methods for the benefit of all participants on all our training cohorts. We wish all at Canavan & Byrne every success for the future.
